For her birthday Lydia requested triple berry pie (strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry) instead of cake and we were able to buy all fresh (on sale!) produce. I love this time of year! We didn't get to the blackberry or blueberry farms this year to pick our own, but have enjoyed the inexpensive fruit at Meijer.

Thankfully, Lydia was able to celebrate and enjoy her birthday BEFORE she caught the same (or similar) nasty virus that Grandpa had at Big Sand--fever, sore throat, and extreme tiredness. We are so glad to see her back to her feisty, sweet, and loving self.
