October Tahoe Trip

Almost two years ago, Russ and I paid a small fee to listen to a timeshare presentation and receive three nights at our chosen place.  We forgot we had done this until an email reminder informed us that this offer would expire unless we scheduled it soon.  So, we looked at the destination options and our calendar and decided on Lake Tahoe in October. Seth would be gone for three days on a high school retreat, so we figured it would be a good time to be away.  They accepted our request, and the first week in October Russ and I headed to Lake Tahoe for a little getaway.

This picture is to remind us of our flat tire on the way home.  Thankful we realized this before we hit the interstate that morning!

Cross Country

Seth had a great cross-country season!  He improved his time with each race and was usually his team's 6th or 7th runner. The race temperatures at the beginning of the season were in the 90s and 100s, and although the temperatures cooled as fall rolled in, they had incredible weather most of the season. The team won districts and headed to the state meet. Unfortunately, Seth had a college visit planned with us at Dordt the same weekend, so he did not participate. (He wasn't that bummed; XC is not his favorite). Grandpa and Grandma and Caleb were visiting for the district meet.  So lovely to have more family members to cheer him on!
