We left our condo super early this morning to beat the crowds and grab a parking spot at Emerald Lake. When we arrived the kids laughed at me for wanting to be here so early because we were maybe the 4th or 5th car in the parking lot. (No one was laughing around noon as we watched people circling the parking lot to find spaces!) It was also only 45 degrees, but we warmed up quickly with a hike to Emerald Lake Basin. The day was a bit smoky, but we still had beautiful views!
We were back in Canmore mid-afternoon, so we walked around town a bit and grabbed a Tim Hortons coffee drink. We grilled burgers for dinner, played games, and packed up for the next leg of our trip--Glacier National Park!
