Fall Trip to Iowa

Seth and I flew to Iowa mid-October for the Dordt Defender Days.  We didn't tell anyone that Seth was joining me, so it was fun to surprise Grandpa and Grandma and the brothers.

Grandpa entertained Seth while I went out for lunch with Mom, Lynn, and Cora one afternoon.

Friday night concert--Caleb on viola and Nicolas on cello.

After the concert we ran across the street to join the rest (or at least a lot) of the family for Caden's high school football game.

Not sure the boys watched much of the game, but they sure had a great time together!

Seth had a sleepover with Andrew at Grandpa and Grandma's house.  I had to laugh the next morning when I checked on how they were doing making breakfast.  Of course, boys would see what it would be like to fry up candy corn!

Late  morning on Saturday, we met Caleb at Dordt and played a little pool and bowled.  Nicolas was busy getting ready for the football game.

Nicolas is number six.

Freezing after the alumni game where the JV took on the football alumni.  We did get to see Nicolas kick a PAT!

On Monday Grandpa, Caleb, Seth and I enjoyed meeting up with Marlon, Andrew, and Rachel at Pumpkinland.

Seth couldn't get enough of Grandpa's tractor mower.  He said if he lived closer, he would pick up leaves and mow for Grandpa all the time.  I wonder how long he would do that before it would become just another chore?!?

It was so fun to have Becca's preschool class come and pick apples and make apple cider because then we were able to help too!
