We continued to take advantage of Michigan berries by picking eight pints of blackberries a few weeks ago. We enjoyed a four berry (blueberry, blackberry, raspberry and strawberry) pie and made two batches of jam--one batch of just blackberry and the other triple berry (strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry).
Also, friends from the seminary gave us a large paper bag full of kale. We cut the curly leaves into bite size pieces, sprayed them with cooking spray, sprinkled them with garlic salt, baked them for 8-10 minutes and then enjoyed eating them! The kids ate them faster than I could make them.
