It Finally Happened...

With all Nicolas' whittling and carving, I knew it would probably happen sometime.  The knife slipped.  For the next two weeks he'll have three stitches in his left middle finger including one in the nail bed (that makes my stomach tingle).   It doesn't look too big, but it is quite deep, cutting diagonally from the tip through the nail bed.  For those who are interested, here is a little peek:

What was he working on?

A tomahawk for his cache of weapons.  He can add this to his bow and arrow, knife, sword, and spear.

I haven't told his cello teacher yet...
