At the end of May, we drove to Iowa and South Dakota for Sara's wedding (Russ' brother Keith's daughter). We did encounter a snow squall in Wyoming and had about 30 minutes of snow/ice-covered roads.
The wedding and reception were held at Granite Springs Lodge outside Mitchell, SD. This was a lovely venue that also offered housing for the family. Besides the wedding, we enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding in the old quarry and playing many board and card games. Nicolas even threw a fishing pole in the water to try to catch some bass.

No Sioux Center trip is complete without breakfast at Casey's Bakery! |

Zoe and Smokey made the trip with us. Seeing Michael who was home over Memorial Day weekend was a bonus! |
The drive home was a few hours longer as we took a detour to the Tetons.
