Anna turned seventeen on January 31st. Even though we are in the middle of the crazy junior year of AP classes, standardized tests, and college mail it wasn't until I was actually signing her up for a college visit that it hit me. In another year this girl will be heading to college!😢 Many people have already asked her what she plans to study and she isn't quite sure. She knows she wants to continue to study the organ, so her college of choice needs to have a strong organ program. Her pattern recognition is crazy good (do NOT take her on in Dutch Blitz or any other speed/pattern/number game!), so she that makes anything with math and numbers pretty fun for her. I'm sure she'll explore accounting as she continues to find success with the accounting tests in Business Professionals of America (BPA). She scored well at regionals in January and will take the State test in a few weeks. She is hoping she does well enough to earn a trip to Nationals in Anaheim, CA in May.
Other things she loves besides organ and numbers:
- Zoe, Smokey, and Iverson, except if they interrupt her sleep
- Logic puzzles
- Playing Seven Wonders, Five Crowns, or any other game
- "When Calls the Heart"
- Christian biographies or true stories of WW2
- Eating good food
- Pop opera (Josh Groban, Il Divo...)
- 1000 piece jigsaw Puzzles
- Her dad's preaching/sermons
Things she does NOT like:
- Injustice
- When someone is illogical or incompetent (that apple fell right at the base of her dad's tree!)
- Texting/social media
- Busy work for school (see illogical bullet above)
- Driving on the interstate
- Running miles or lifting weights
- Cleaning her room or the bathroom...or just cleaning in general
Although Anna will always be an introvert, it has been a blessing to watch her grow into a confident, self-assured young lady who loves the Lord!
