We had always tentatively planned to go back to Iowa in May for the 8th grade graduation of Caleb's class. When gas prices rose to over $4.00 a gallon, we were wondering how we were going to tell Caleb that we didn't think it would work out. Well, God worked it out for us! About that same time, Greg and Dawn Steggerda emailed Russ about shingling their house in Orange City, and Mr. Tien (principle of OCCS) called asking if Russ would be willing speak at the 8th grade graduation. With the shingling job to help with travel expenses and a second reason (not that we needed one) to attend the graduation we were happy to stick with our initial plan.
