Skyler and Mara's Wedding

While in Iowa we took a weekend detour to Mitchell, SD for the wedding of our niece Mara.  She is the first of the Herman cousins to be married!  The cousins had a great time together at the wedding reception/dance and at the hotel swimming pool.   The pictures are not great as I did not have my good "indoor" lens with me.

Trip to Iowa Part 2--Play

Although the guys worked hard on roofing projects, we all still found time to play and enjoy time with family and friends.

I missed getting a picture of the Scheaffer family when they came over to see us, but we loved seeing them again and meeting baby Ruth for the first time.

We are so thankful for God's provision:  Zoe was spayed while in IA and recovered wonderfully, safe uneventful travel to and from Michigan, safety on the roofing projects, Russ being able to preach in Hull, and only fairly minor issues with our van (we won't talk about our water heater right now).  We appreciate our families more than ever and thoroughly enjoy the time we spend with them.  Love these Iowa pictures that Caleb took before his morning run:
